What’s better than an adorable one year old celebrating his first birthday? Nothing. nope, nothing. But A spectacular birthday cake comes in a close second :)! We had a blast making Sam and his party guests two tasty cakes for his big day. For the party cake, we went for chocolate because who doesn’t love chocolate? Add french vanilla filling and vanilla buttercream and you’ve got a pretty tasty cake. The cake was decorated with a giant sugar cookie #1 as well as a sugar cookie plaque on the front. Gingham and pennants finished off the look and fit right in with the theme of the party.Sam’s smash cake was vanilla decorated with buttercream frosting, gingham and Sixlets. The best part- Sam’s smash cake doubled as a gender reveal cake! Yep, Sam’s mom is expecting! Yaaaaaay! We dyed the cake blue so when Sam smashed his way through his cake, the blue would reveal a new baby boy to not only the party guests, but also Sam’s parents, making the smash cake extra special 🙂 We couldn’t be more excited for Sam and his family, and are so happy we were able to help make their big day a little more special!
